Code of conduct for all ekpa members

We must hold ourselves to the highest standards and set good examples for others if we are going to be a leader in the promotion and education of the Kunekune pig.

  1. Treat all people and all farms with respect, courtesy, consideration, and compassion.  Avoid insults, name calling, put downs or other language that is likely to hurt, offend or set a bad example for our organization.

  2. Social Media posts must adhere to the policy set forth in #1.

  3. We expect each member to foster and encourage teaching and role-modeling that provides support done with kindness and compassion for others, recognizing that we all have different skills and talents.  Our goal at EKPA is to help others and promote an open learning environment.

  4. Practice being fair and open to new ideas, suggestions, and opinions of others.  Treat all individuals with impartiality regardless of race, creed, color, sex, nationality, age, or disability.

  5. We expect each member to demonstrate and continually strive to treat their animals with the highest welfare standards in place and to be responsible stewards of the environment.

  6. Provide a safe environment for all individuals to learn and to ask questions while being free from judgement, harassment, or any type of abuse.
