Thinking about launching your own Kunekune pork program but not sure where to start? The KPPA Mentorship Program is here to guide you every step of the way! You’ll learn the ins and outs of Kunekune pork production — from farm management and business planning to marketing your products. Our mentorship community offers a supportive space to ask questions, share ideas, and gain firsthand insight from experienced producers who have built thriving 100% Kunekune pork operations.
Format: Self-paced (complete the modules at your own pace, at times convenient for you)
Estimated duration: 10 asynchronous modules + BONUS module (approximately 27 hours total)
Includes: Video lessons, interviews with guest speakers, practical worksheets, optional mentor Q&As, a certificate of completion upon submitting the capstone project, and access to a private Facebook discussion group.
The Pork Producers Mentorship Program, offered by EKPA and KPPA, is designed for pork producers who want to grow their operations thoughtfully, whether you are just starting or looking to expand your operation.
Across ten asynchronous modules, you will gain practical knowledge and hands-on strategies to manage herd health, optimize production, navigate processing, build your brand, and plan for sustainable growth.
You will learn from real-world case studies, hear directly from expert producers and new industry leading guest speakers specific to the topics, and apply what you learn through practical worksheets and exercises. Optional check-in calls with mentors are available, and a private Facebook discussion group offers personalized guidance, peer support, and the opportunity to ask questions along the way.
By the end of the program, you will have created your own Farm Roadmap, a one-year operational and marketing plan that brings together everything you have learned. Optional bonus modules explore opportunities such as agrotourism and AI tools to optimize farm operations, helping you expand your business and connect with customers in innovative ways.
This program is practical and flexible, providing you with the confidence and tools to take actionable steps toward building a thriving, values-driven pork business.
